A solid, precision travel roller (sanding belt tensioning device) and quick-change interchangeable sanding drums (regular/belt and slotted for sheet paper) make this Swedish masterpiece a truly legitimate two-for-one machine. An easy two-minute drum change will take you from the open coat, slotted-drum, beater mode - where removing multiple layers of finish and years of wear is the challenge - to the belt drum for fine, chatter-free sanding. The 4.5 HP American motor provides all the power needed to accomplish the most demanding wood floor sanding job. The internal volt meter with digital readout tells the operator if the machine is being operated in a safe voltage range. The wide-opening drum chamber access doors provide easy access for sanding belt and drum changes. Sanding pressure and machine leveling adjustments are easily made from the exterior of the machine, making the Örebro Universal truly a user-friendly sander. The Universal's intermediate weight and convenient carry handles make this machine quite maneuverable when stairs are involved.
