DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

BEFORE USING, READ ALL DIRECTIONS AND MATERIAL DATA SAFETY SHEET (#90050 for SATIN, #90066 for SEMI-GLOSS, #90010 for GLOSS) FOR THIS PRODUCT.

PREPARATION:
ABRADE AND RECOAT OLD FLOORS

1. Be sure floor is completely free of wax or oily residue. 2. Clean floor thoroughly with Bona Swedish Formula Hardwood Floor Cleaner. 3. Abrade surface with a Bona Conditioning Pad before finishing. 4. Vacuum thoroughly. 5. Tack with mineral spirits. 6. Apply finish (see directions).

NOTE: BONA WOODLINE POLYURETHANE will adhere to most stains and finishes after proper preparation and dry times. ALWAYS PREPARE A SAMPLE OR TEST AREA TO DETERMINE COMPATIBILITY.

SANDING AND FINISHING OF NEW FLOORS:

1. Sand floor using NOFMA-accepted methods. 2. For neutral or stained floor, make your final cut with 80 grit paper and screen with 80-100 grit screen. 3. For an unstained, natural floor, make your final cut with a 100-grit paper and screen with 100 grit screen. 4. Vacuum thoroughly. 5. Tack with mineral spirits. 6. Apply sealer and finish system (see finish directions).

FINISHING: STIR WELL BEFORE USING!

1. BONA WOODLINE POLYURETHANE is a 3-coat system. For a neutral floor, begin by applying 1 coat of BONA WOODLINE 1101 SEALER or BONA WOODLINE DS NEUTRAL STAIN according to label directions, followed by 2 coats of BONA WOODLINE POLYURETHANE. For a stained floor, apply BONA WOODLINE DS STAIN according to label directions, followed by 2 coats of BONA WOODLINE POLYURETHANE. For an unstained, natural floor, apply 3 coats of BONA WOODLINE POLYURETHANE 2. Apply BONA WOODLINE POLYURETHANE with a lambswool applicator or brush at the coverage rate of 500 sq. ft. per gallon.  Thicker coverage rates may adversely affect flow, leveling and drying times. Go with the grain of the wood. Avoid leaving puddles of excessive amounts of finish on the floor. 3. Allow your first coat to dry thoroughly (approximately 8-12 hours). Periods of high humidity and/or low temperatures will extend the drying time considerably. 4. For proper adhesion, abrade with a Bona Conditioning Pad or 120-150-grit screen between coats of finish.  Allow final coat to dry a minimum of 24 hours before use and avoid heavy traffic for 72 hours.

NOTE: BONA WOODLINE POLYURETHANE is not recommended over shellac, lacquer sanding sealers, fillers or stains containing stearates. Polyurethane finishes will have a slightly ambering effect over light colored surfaces.

Coverage: Approximately 500 square feet per gallon.

Curing: The curing process takes approximately 14 days. The floor may be walked on after 24 hours, but the floor is susceptible to scuffing or marring prior to completion of the curing time. Cleaning with water or detergent is not allowed during the curing process.

Clean-Up: Clean application tools and equipment with mineral spirits.

Maintenance: Put walk-off mats at all entrance doorways to keep out excessive dirt and grit. Sweep or vacuum daily and damp wipe as needed with Bona Swedish Formula Hardwood Floor Cleaner. The floor may be buffed periodically with a white polishing pad to restore luster.

Storage and Disposal: Keep container closed when not in use. Do not transfer contents to other containers for storage and disposal. Do not return used material into original container; reapply or dispose. In case of spillage, absorb with inert material. Dispose of contaminated absorbent, container and/or unused contents in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

DANGER: RAGS, STEEL WOOL OR WASTE SOAKED WITH BONA WOODLINE POLYURETHANE MAY SPONTANEOUSLY CATCH FIRE IF IMPROPERLY DISCARDED. IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH USE, PLACE RAGS, STEEL WOOL OR WASTE IN A SEALED WATER-FILLED CONTAINER.
